"Good atmosphere and comfortable seating. The food was very good, a little over priced maybe but good portions and tasty. Service was below standard, disappointing because the restaurant deserves better. Under staffing didn’t help our waiter was running at times. We were hurried to choose our food and the waiter was trying to multitask while taking the order."

Now we thought we would try this venue whilst staying at travelodge Peterborough Central. How wrong were we, firstly they don't openly obviously advertise you can prebook, secondly as a wheelchair user they tried to offer me a table accessed by a large step, in a Powerchair no way on earth is this doable, Powerchairs cost as much as small car, if damage occurred would they pay the cost I highly doubt it. There were two tables empty on the lower level, why not offer one of them hmm. All they could say was come back in 30 mins we are so sorry. Not good accessibility really eh. I did notice they had no problem accommodating pushchairs users easily.
No why oh why would you put a step up/down to a wheelchair accessible toilet, it's 2024 for god sake.
Needless to say me and my party left this venue and found another venue where we had a lovely meal, had exemplary service and were extremely satisfied as there were no accessibility issues.

Middletons was recommended to us as a good place to eat whilst visiting Peterborough. Staff were helpful and attentive
When ordering food at 8.15 we were told it would be 30-40 mins not a problem we drank some poor wine ordered another different bottle by 9.15 when we asked where our food was the staff were apologetic. Food arrived at 9.45 it was terrible my fillet steak (wish I’d taken photos) was a charred lump of overcooked meat with a tiny wilted salad on the side Mixed grill also overcooked and my sons rump steak non descript Thankfully we weren’t charged for our food and came away disappointed and very hungry.

Waited almost 2 hours for food on valentines, ended up leaving, ruined our night. Complete chaos in there with people being served their mains who had arrived after us. Only a free drink offered to apologise for this which never arrived. Would never go back

I took my wife for her birthday 🎊 and this place was phenomenal.
The food was incredible and the service was perfect, the right combination of nothing is too much trouble and leaving the customer to enjoy the time.
I'm sorry to say I don't know the name of the guy who served us but he was epic, friendly, welcoming and was truly interested in you having an all round enjoyable time.
Thank you for an amazing lunchtime.

Very disappointed tonight. No heating in Restaurant. The food was not up to their normal standards. Because of the cold we left far earlier than we would have.

Food ** - Small portions, chicken was slightly dry. Male sure you order a side with the main as it’ll not be sufficient enough for an average person. Took 20 minutes to come from ordering which was a plus.
Service was painfully slow. Appreciate its Christmas time, however after asking four waiters/waitresses for our drinks, we got them after 40 minutes. Baring in mind we were attending a ‘90 minute bottomless brunch’ which two of the three of us opted out of, only to be told that we all have to opt out, or opt in.
We ordered our food which came after 20 minutes. Portions were small, chicken was slightly dry. Sweet potatoes fried wasn’t to bad.

Been on a bottomless brunch had to wait 25mins between each drink. Such shame as Norwich was such a good night on a Friday night (same as tonight) supplied a few bottles of prosecco on the table and drink orders quicker. I understand they are busy but it Seems detailed on purpose and when asked if we could order more when drinks were brought to us we were told we weren't allowed. If we knew this we would order through the normal menu and pay for drinks.
